Life is boring, life is fun, life is crazy, life is wild. In reality however, life is actually what you make it to be.
Are you ever happy or are you so tired and confused that you are tired of being so tired of yourself and everything around you?

How do you handle those moments you feel down and out being up and about and happiness seems so far fetched?
We may differ in the way we react to things life throws at us but at such times, what I have discovered that what works best- at least for me is to take time out to reflect and think.
You are probably saying: “Think about what?” I just said “I.am.tired”. Not to worry, there’s a way to get out of it and that’s what we are going to be talking about.

I understand how fagged out you are -at least to some extent. Bills have not been paid, you’ve just had a bad breakup, may be you found out you didn’t pass a test, or your friends just mocked you because they think your life is in chaos.
It doesn’t matter what it is that just happened- Pause.
Rather than get all worried about what’s happening around you, do a quick self awareness check instead.
How?
You do this by tuning yourself into the zone of reflection and having a look into the past, inwardly, outwardly, deeply and closely.
Why should you and what exactly does that do to help the situation? First, you don’t do this to dwell on the negatives of the past but to see how it can propel you forward into the future.
Having a zone of reflection makes you realize you are on the move; that where you were last year or 5 years ago is not where you are now. And believe it or not, where you are today, is not where you were yesterday.
“Really? You are kidding right?” No, I’ m not.
You may think you are not moving as far as you know and it may at all not even seem or feel like it for all you care. But the truth is, you are moving.
It’s true you may not be flying (yet) but you are moving! Moving as you continue to take those steps (whether baby or giant) towards your goals and desires even though you don’t see it that way or see any changes happening at all.
So if that’s the case, how do you create a party and a world of happiness out of what you think is chaos or a mess around you?- It’s in doing these 5 things:
How to create your own world of happiness
1. Gratitude in the now
One solid way to create a party out of your life right now and everyday is gratitude. But not just gratitude for gratitude sake or because someone said so, but indulging in “practical gratitude” because of what it embodies and the positive effect it has on the mind.
It may not change your situation itself just yet, but it does more for you than you know. Gratitude brings joy, gratitude brings life, gratitude is an attitude and it is a way of life.
So with this in mind, how do you go about expressing practical gratitude to create your own world of happiness?
2 key ways to express practical gratitude
A. By being grateful for what you have and where you are NOW
May be you are not yet where you want to be but you can be actively grateful for where you are now. You don’t yet see the money swelling in your bank account, you can be grateful for what you have now.
Perhaps, you are still waiting for a spouse and its taking too long and you are getting discouraged, be grateful for where you are now. It’s possible you are still seeking admission into one of the most prestigious colleges but you are not there yet, you can choose to be grateful for where you are now and what you currently have to take you to that goal.
B. By living in the now and enjoying your present by being intentionally present
Enjoy what you have now and be intentional about it because what you have now is the only thing you have control over.
You may not or do not have control over what you think you will have tomorrow, or may be later today or worse yet, the very next minute, so enjoy it now while you can and while it’s still fresh.
Okay…may be it feels like you are drowning out under a heavy weight and you don’t know where to turn because you think you are entitled to bear problems so many (including yours) on your shoulders.
No, you don’t have to.
Doing that only steals the joy of tomorrow, today and saps out the joy of today- today. Choosing to live in the moment on the other hand, brings joy and where joy lingers, it heals. And that’s exactly where you want to be.
2. Not comparing yourself with others
The second way to create happiness out of your life is by avoiding comparisons.
Comparing yourself with others has a way of draining out positive energy from you because the mind has its way of reacting negatively to it.
By comparing yourself with others, you feel less than who you really are. Comparison suddenly puts you in a position of sadness because you believe some else is better off than you or are having a better life than you are having.
Remember that though the grass may look greener on the other side, some grasses though look real, could be artificial. Don’t let comparison hold you down. Aspire to be yourself and no one else.
3. Loving yourself
Love your life. If you don’t, no one else will.
Love yourself, if you don’t, no one else will. For you to be truly happy, you need to enjoy you.
You might have made some mistakes in the past, no one is perfect. You can pick up from where you left off and bring out the best in you in your next decisions. You can be all you wish to be but the first step to achieving that, is by loving you.
4. Not Overthinking
You need to throw overthinking out of the window if you want to be happy. You don’t want to give room for anxiety or depression.
Let go of things you can’t control and don’t beat your self up over things that already happened in the past.
Ensure you are at peace with yourself. Pick out the lessons you learnt from your experience and try to do better next time.

5. Do things that make you happy
You know yourself better than anyone else. Do things that make you happy.
Go places that make you happy. Hang out with people that make you happy. Be intentional about your happiness. As long as what makes you happy is a good thing and not detrimental to you or others, do it.

Create a party out of your life by living in the now and being grateful for what you have and where you are right now. Stop comparing yourself with others. Live in the present, not in the past, love yourself and remember to intentionally do things that make you happy.
By choosing to do this daily, you can create your own world of happiness and see yourself dancing for the things you hope for but have not yet attained (which you will). Express gratitude and experience the joy it rewards. Remember happiness or sadness is a choice. Choose wisely- choose to be happy.
