Thanksgiving is by far one of my favorite holidays! It’s that time we welcome family, friends and guests to our homes. We get to enjoy a feast (without the weight-watching or guilty feelings) and talk about things we love and what we are thankful for.
Though I believe every day is a day to be thankful, setting aside a day of the year to gather, celebrate and give thanks is a good way to bond and share some love. Thanksgiving also ushers in that awesome Christmas spirit for me and I believe for many people too.

There are so many things I am thankful for this year! I am thankful for this blog (Yeah, it started this year!) and the impact it has made so far all across the world!
It’s my own little way of sharing my thoughts on ways to make your relationships with those you love and the people around you better. 🙂
I am also so thankful for family and friends including you!
As you go about your day this Thanksgiving, take time to enjoy every moment. The cooking and big meals are important but be intentional about having a great time with family or friends.
And if you have decided to celebrate alone this year for what ever reason, you can still find at least one reason to be purposefully thankful and make it enjoyable.
We all have dreams, visions and things we line up to accomplish. The year is almost rounding off and may be you haven’t attained what you envisaged at the beginning of the year and you are probably thinking you have nothing new to share around the thanksgiving dinner table, the year is not over yet! You can still achieve it-if you keep at it.
As you sit at that table surrounded by family and friends, be amused, be entertained, be happy and make good memories.
Take advantage of this time and try to remember that, depending on your family dynamics, it may take you another year to gather this way.
Also, don’t forget to put your phones away and talk (of course you could take pictures with your phone) but try as much as possible to put it away.
Have fun as you enjoy some good ol’ turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy!
Gobble, gobble…is the sound a turkey makes.
What are you thankful for?
Happy Thanksgiving!
